Who we are
MyFinMaps is operated by [Legal entity name — to be confirmed with counsel] (company number [Company registration number — to be confirmed]), registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at [Registered office address — to be confirmed]. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the service. These terms are a binding agreement between you and us that governs your use of the service; by creating an account or using the service you accept them. You can contact us at support@myfinmaps.com.
The service
MyFinMaps is a tool that lets you record and review your own personal financial holdings — bank balances, deposits, stocks, metals, property, loans, insurance, pension, and cash flow. We store what you enter and present it back to you with charts and totals. We are not a broker, custodian, adviser, or regulated financial institution; nothing in the service is financial, tax, or legal advice.
Your account
By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you will keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
If you forget your password we can email a one-time reset link to your registered address. We cannot recover your account if you lose access to that email address.
Fees
The service is currently provided free of charge and we do not collect payment details. We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we will make the price and terms clear before you sign up for anything paid, and features you already rely on will not begin charging without notice and your agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to access another user's account; (b) probe or interfere with the service's security; (c) automate sign-up or scrape data at a rate that disrupts the service; (d) upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware.
We use CAPTCHA, rate limiting, and account-lockout controls to protect the service. Repeated failed sign-ins will temporarily lock your account.
Your content
You own the financial information you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that information back to you so we can operate the service. We do not use your portfolio data to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell it.
Our intellectual property
The service itself — including the MyFinMaps name and logo, and the software, design, text, and charts we provide — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own personal financial record-keeping, in line with these terms. Except as the law allows, you must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the service. This does not affect your ownership of the information you enter, which is covered in "Your content".
Third-party services
To show market prices and currency rates we rely on third-party data sources. We do not control those sources and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or their own terms. Data or links from third parties are provided for convenience only and are not an endorsement. If a third-party service changes or becomes unavailable, some features may stop working.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that market prices or currency rates fetched from third-party sources are accurate or up to date; you should verify before acting on any displayed value.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment loss, missed deadline, lost profit, or consequential damage arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the service. To the extent permitted by law — and except where caused by our own breach or negligence — we are not responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or content you submit that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights. [Counsel to confirm the appropriate scope of this clause for consumer users.]
Your privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Notice, and our use of cookies in our Cookie Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that we process your data as set out in those documents, which are incorporated into these terms by reference.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud or abuse. You can request account closure at any time using the "Delete my account" option in your profile; we verify the request and then permanently erase your account and data. You can also download a copy of your data first using "Download my data". For any other request, write to support@myfinmaps.com.
Service changes and availability
We may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) — to maintain, improve, or protect it, or for legal or operational reasons. Where a change materially reduces the service we will give reasonable notice where we can. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If we discontinue the service we will give you a reasonable opportunity to download your data first.
Changes to these terms
When we make material changes we will bump the terms version and ask you to re-accept on your next sign-in. The current version is 2026-07-02.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the UK, the EU/EEA, or another country whose law gives you that right, you may also bring proceedings in, and rely on the mandatory consumer-protection laws of, your country of residence. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
General
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor (for example on a business sale) and will tell you if we do. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service and replace any earlier terms. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of infrastructure or third-party providers.
